'The Insurance Authority ("IA") was established on December 7, 2015, with the implementation of the Insurance Companies (Amendment) Ordinance 2015. As an independent body responsible for regulating the insurance industry in Hong Kong, the IA aims to modernise the regulatory infrastructure to promote the stable development of the insurance market and provide comprehensive protection for policyholders.
